Natasha's Workshop:
She asked us to get a partner and be in a 'sumo-wrestler stance', and we had to pretend like being beasts-.- It was in a way a good workshop since it allowed us to get out of our comfortable stance which is what is required in Avant Garde.
Our Workshop:
Me and Elizabeth had 2 workshops.
1. Visual - We asked them to interpret a certain emotion through their bodies. They were in pairs and they had to act as one. It was a very good exercise because it was very visual. It allowed them to get out of their body's comfort zone. We wanted to show that theatre, especially Artaud's theatre of Cruelty had a lot of physicality involved in it.
2. Auditory - In pairs, their backs were against each other - one acted, one produced the sounds and they took turns. This was good as it helped them improvise more, and act on impulse.
